Guest guest
Hi everyone, I've been "out of the loop" for the past week or two, due to (as usual & what else is new) CRAZY deadlines. Lately I wonder how on earth I'm going to make it through the week, because I've recently (a year ago) started my own business and I've made the mistake of taking on TOO many projects than a normal individual can handle. I joined this list to look for some inspiration and hoping to find some type of "spiritual outlet", so to speak. Well, I went to the website, http://www.yogatech.com (which is fantastic) and I decided to order one of the books -- RELAX AND RENEW. I received it about five days ago (less than a week after I ordered it.) All I can say it, it's AMAZING, and I would highly recommend it to anyone (I've already decided that I'm going to order a number of additional copies to give to some of my other "type A" friends as gifts). It's not only for crazy "type A" people like me, but it's really a great tool for anyone. The exercises are all illustrated and explained in such a clear way that even if you've never taken a class before you would be able to completely understand how to do these exercises. This book has also inspired me (even more) to get started in taking classes, because now I feel that when I'm in class I'll have more of an understanding as to WHY we're doing these particular exercises. I would love to know if anyone else in this group has checked this book out yet. I would love to discuss it on the list, because there's so much information in here that it would be interesting to get some feedback from the rest of you. There's a section called "Stress Reduction in 2-11 minutes", which is perfect for me, and there's also a complete section on meditation. But I think that my favorite part about this book is the fact that the illustrations make the exercises so easy to understand, and each illustration is thoroughly explained, so that you REALLY feel like you know what you're doing, and WHY you're doing it. I've been looking for a book like this for a long time, and I haven't been able to find anything this thorough, complete, and explanatory. Thanks! Guest guest
Dear Isis, Thank you for your "review" of RELAX AND RENEW. As soon as you do one of these exercises for one week, please write us and tell us what you have experienced. We live in such a mental world, that sometimes it is hard to get to the actual practice. The "Stress Reduction in 2-11 minutes" exercises are ideal to do before lunch, mid afternoon or before dinner. Then you feel more vital during the afternoon and evening. Feeling vital and alive without feeling overwhelmed and stressed out is wonderful. When all the energy we untilize in stress and anxiety is released, we have more energy to do things. So take the plunge, schedule yourself in for at least 11 minutes a day and enjoy your life. You will actually save time. Sat Nam, Rattana I decided to order one of the books -- RELAX AND RENEW.
