Guest guest
Hi Chris, I just read your beautiful and inspirational letter. I can't answer any of your questions because I've only just begun to practice Kundalini Meditation within the past few days. I am trying to work some of the concepts into my hatha yoga, which I have been practicing for about a year. Also, I am using a seemingly good book, KUNDALINI AWAKENING: A GENTLE GUIDE TO CHAKRA ACTIVATION AND SPIRITUAL GROWTH as an instructional manual. My question to you is Are you in a class for your practice, or are you using a video or a manual or what? I know that a class would be the ideal way to get into the discipline but that is not possible for me at the moment. My initial experience in identifying and acknowledging my chakras was that I began to cry, not in sadness, BUT because there seemed to be some joyous and exploding dancing and celebration within me that I was somehow becoming connected to myself! It was like I was finally becoming one within myself. So, I know I have much to look forward to, and I thank you and congratulate you on your beautiful experiences. Guest guest
Hello everyone I joined this list because I believe I am going through a Kundalini Awakening. I have all of the spontaneous symptoms like pains in chest, muscle twitches, spasms, itching, tingling, immense energy, and powerful emotions that accompany Kundalini. I am pretty much a spiritual person so everything I go through involving Kundalini is accepted. I believe I awakened it through Kundalini Yoga. In the first Kundalini Meditation I saw my death through two past lives. Afterwards my body couldn't stop buzzing for the whole day. :~> I wanted to know how long do these symptoms last? I assume they last until the cleansing is finished. Also after the cleansing is done what happens then? What is everyday life like? Have any of you had anything worser than the subtle symptoms listed above? The worst thing for me is I am now Lactose Intolerant. This started up (or got worser) as soon as I got on the spiritual path. Thanks in advance for all or your comments and questions. I want to e-mail real people who have gone through the process. Guest guest
Dear Chris: I am only commenting at a distance...so this is a bit like a Doctor trying to diagnose a patient from far away... If this is the first "wave" of Kundalini symptoms and you do mention feeling a need for cleansing...then you have just opened one or two of the first Chakra points...the lowest at the base of the spine (which often results in the leg pains you describe) and the next above the pelvic region, just below the solar plexus, (abdominal discomfort). These symptoms actually should not get worse. ("worser" not a word). However, we should not discount the flu, either. LOL However, if you maintain the Kundalini Yoga practices, you should feel much more than just a flush of energy and discomfort when the higher Chakras open. At the heart, you will feel intense emotions, spontaneous crying and a sense of incredible love for all living things. When the throat and third eye open, you will experience psychic and sensory experiences that could be quite unusual. When your crown actually opens...whoosh! As we all say...and you don't feel any bodily sensation at all. None...zip...you are plain out of the body...and then kind of in and then kind of out... That is why so much discussion of late has been about proper or useful grounding techniques to allow one to safely reconnect with "normal" life in a functional way. Good luck, but be moderate with those lower Chakra exercises and stimulation...K is natural Viagra, if you get my drift. ) LOL Blessings Love, Zenbob
Guest guest
Hi Bill thanks for your reply, Before I even knew about K I used to meditate on raising my chakras and OOBE's. I am not part of any classes and I have not worked with videos. I do however read about K in the book "Kundalini and the Charkas A Practical Manual Evolution in this Lifetime" It's pretty good in describing the awakening techniques. I have been meditation with the chakras for about 4 months on and off and K Yoga for about 3 months. During my first K meditation I saw someone in red stab me through the stomach. I think it was a roman solider, but the strange thing was my stomach was stinging afterwards. The same thing happened when someone cut out my tongue. It was stinging for a whole day. I was pretty emotional afterwards but I accepted it just a memory. I think this is why I so afraid of people with big knives. :~> Just make sure you follow the directions of grounding and moving the energy out of the top of your head. When I didn't do this I 2 got boils the next day because of extra energy. Enjoy! Chris Re: New Member >"Bill ." <prising > >Hi Chris, > >I just read your beautiful and inspirational letter. Guest guest
Thanks for your comments Zenbob, I stopped working on my chakras when I started working on K. I will have to work on them again now that K has been awakened. And yes I do know what you mean K IS a natural viagra. I hope it's like that when I get older. I am only 22. Guest guest
>>>"Chris Horton" <mook I stopped working on my chakras when I started working on K. >>> I'm confused. How does Kundalini yoga exist without the chakras? Sorry if this is a completely naive question. Angie
Guest guest
Hi Chris: Well, I am 45 and thus far K as a Viagra substitute seems quite enough for me. Yes, integration of focus of Chakra release with K exercises is essential! You must have channels for energy focus and release or else you will get weird results, aberrations, stresses and even illness, paralysis and hallucination. Under no circumstances should you be using any alcohol, strong drugs (even prescription medications) during K release work. Also, if you drive a car or operate heavy equipment, machinery, or power tools...well, hopefully you understand where I am going with this. Too often, Western students believe that they can "tap the doors of infinite potential" and then just hop on the Harley and cruise the Interstate, have a few drinks and just enjoy. Nothing could be more wrong, as I am sure you could guess. It is sometimes difficult to remember how to sign your name after a very successful K experience. I remember that one Friday evening (a Favorite K time of mine) I had done some very deep work and Saturday morning was just taking it easy, working with my sled dogs (a good grounding exercise, by the way) when I remembered that I needed to get to the bank before it closed so that the Mortgage payment would be there on Monday! I was hardly capable of driving, but I did anyway...and every little thing by the roadside...trees, shrubs, hill sides just seemed incredible and lovely. This was great, but it made for a very nervous driving experience. When I got to the bank I had to fill out the deposit slip and this took forever. I was much more keen on checking out everyone's aura. When I got to the teller and presented my deposit I had not signed the check. No big deal, as many will not sign until they actually are in front of the teller. But, it took me such a long time to sign the check...I worried that the teller would think I was trying to forge my own signature. But my Driver's license and picture still matched me...so she relaxed. I guess the point I am making is that K work can interfere with a lot of regular work, if you are not careful with time and proper release of energy. Bellows breathing (quick successive deep breaths) can raise the K and slow, long held breathing can release excess energy. Jogging, hiking, etc., are great releases, and I even used to play tennis to focus and release "residual" excesses of energy. However, I wouldn't try to play tennis right after raising the K...of course if your tennis partner is also your K partner... Good Luck, Zenbob
Guest guest
I read somewhere that if your chakras are closed K tries to open them, when it does it pain may occur. If you open them during charka meditation that sort of remove the block without pain. Eventually K removes the blocks but it may take longer depending on your energy level. Check out http://www.spiritweb.org for more info. I they have good explanations on K and the charkas but you may not find them explained together. Have Fun! Guest guest
Thanks Zenbob, A great answer every time. I wish I was up there, but it all takes time. To take the ride is almost as exciting as getting to your destination. What kind of other experiences have you had? Can you heal? Can you see your aura in the mirror without concentrating? I can see my but if you move your eye once it's gone. I also can't seem to see others without a mirror or beige background. The sign your name thing is a little too much for me right now because of my technical work. Jr. Programmer, Software Tester, Software Configuration Engineer, and Test Manager Backup. I was trying to meditate on my throat chakra but nothing would happen. Keep in mind it has been stuck for many years. Shy around people including girls. I never knew what to say. Year around it's always congested. But I am working on that Charka specifically though. Thanks, Chris > >Hi Chris: > >Well, I am 45 and thus far K as a Viagra substitute seems quite enough for >me. Guest guest
Dear Chris: Thanks for the thoughtful reply. I will limit my comments to an interesting portion of your letter. You wrote: << Can you see your aura in the mirror without concentrating? I can see my but if you move your eye once it's gone. I also can't seem to see others without a mirror or beige background. >> This is exactly how I began developing this ability. In order to progress, practice does seem to be necessary. I also began getting polarized filters that were either bronze or very dark gray to look through, when there was bright light that washed out the aura. The looking, then having to look away phenomenon is well documented, and this is due to the fact that the frequency of light that we perceive for auras is actually an interference pattern that our eyes can translate into "normal color bands." If we disfocus the eyes a bit, really relax and not try too hard, the aura pops into clear view. As soon as we then try to focus or look "more closely" it disappears. It's a little like those neat books with all the jumbled colors that resolve into 3D pictures if you relax and allow the eyes to look "beyond" or through the page itself at a more distant focal point. If you look right at "it" it disappears. Try having a person hold a glass of water, breathe deeply several times while concentrating their personality or energy into the water. Next have them drink the water (cold is best) and then read their aura! It's an amazing form of supercharging the subject temporarily. Warm Regards, Blessings, Love, Zenbob
