We are an eclectic, diverse group, with many different experiences relating to Yoga, Yogic Science, Kundalini and inner transformation. I am here to contribute wry observation and the once in a while anecdote from my own experiences and I urge you do the same and feel warmly loved and welcomed by all. Kundalini is the process of awakening the Serpent Power within, the coiled dual polarities of energy residing at the base of the spine and coiling double-helix wise up the spine, making a twist or nexus at each Chakra point (energy center such as the pelvic area, solar plexus, heart, throat, head (third eye) and crown (top of head) with the purpose of achieving an open flow of this energy all the way through the crown, which provides both revitalization, stamina, ecstasy, enlightenment and can allow you to thrill millions. (well I am not sure about the last item) This is a careful, slow progression, just like any Yoga activity and proper breathing, mental focus and inner discipline are very useful. For those who have a Tantric inclination, which many of us do, having a partner to engage in the specialized postures and intimate exercises can certainly help! Be sure to read everyone's advice carefully...some of us joke a bit and some of us are just silly ducks...or geese or something. Warm Welcome! I have joined the list as I am fascinated by Yoga in general, (have been studying the Iyengar method), meditation and all things of the spirit, and have felt drawn to Kundalini Yoga. I even received a surge of energy and dizziness as I logged on to the site! Good sign. I have yet to study Kundalini Yoga, but am anxious to learn more about and it, and in the long run, find a safe place to study it.
