Re:

Kundalini

Tantric Buddhist writings can also be found that relate to many schools of

Tibetan and Dzogchen Buddhism. In Ch'an Buddhism and Taoism, it is referred

to as "Awakening the Dragon."

Here is a Poem I wrote in 1972 after living with K open for about three years:

THIS WORLD: THE DRAGON AWAKENED

I gaze through the haze of blazing skies

And realize I see the world through serpent eyes.

I listen in tears past the weight of years

And know I hear the world through serpent ears.

And I know some stars lie

And some men never cry.

I laugh in the chaff of bitter wheat

And smell the hell of vain defeat:

I tread on the graves of pointless men

And realize life could never defend

The man I was before

The man I'll be no more.

I sleep in the restless deep of my castles keep

And know that devil's curse, yet angel's weep

In the waking dawn, so long gone

When I the serpent no longer dreams so long--

For they see a man I couldn't be

A man who can never again see

The world other men realize:

A world I fear and despise

To me, the barest of lies

As I watch: The Dragon with Serpent Eyes.

Kundalini is found in Tantric Shastra texts particularly those translated

by Arthur Avalon ... M.P. Pandit also has a brief Kundalini Yoga book...

and don't forget Tauganit in Yoga International Magazine says a lot about

it as well. My favorite is Layayoga, The definitive Guide to the Chakras

and Kundalini by Shyam Sundar Goswami... in print and available through

Amazon! - Art Gregory
