Thanks to Dawn and all who replied.

It has been subsiding quite a bit in the last few days. I had a long talk

about many feelings with my loved one this weekend and I have received

overwhelming support as a result. This seems to have lifting the fear a

lot.

Re: Fragances.

In a reply to Julia Hart, regarding the smelling of fragances, Satsang

Kaur states that people who have been doing Kundalini Yoga for five

to ten years sometimes develope this ability.

This may be so but not always. I started experiencing it after

meditating for some time. Not only do I smell sweet fragrances, I

also here the unstruck sound. I never knew that this had a meaning

until I came in contact with the Sant Mat Fellowship and learned

about this.

I'm off to South Africa on Saturday so will be on no mail from Friday

for a while. Looking forward to all your interesting posts when I

return.

how to deal with fear of illness and death

Hi,

I don't know what's been up with me lately, but I have been filled with fear

of getting ill..or of dying. It usually comes upon me while I am going to

sleep and it is the most disturbing feeling.

I have been re-evaluating my life over the past month and have been wanting

to make changes in my life...feeling that I have not been living my life the

way I should be. This may be a factor in these feelings, I do not know.

But it is really bothering me to the point where I don't even want to do to

sleep! Sometimes, I awake with a bolt and my heart is pounding and I grab

on to my boyfriend in complete terror of...what, I don't know..but I really

need to make this stop!

Are there any sets, mantras..ANYTHING.. to help to deal with fear??

I thank you in advance,

sat nam

You can check out Guru Kirn Kaur's site www.sacredgems.com for some good

information on this. She has been making Sikh / KY related jewelry for a

long time and some of her pieces were made at the direction of Yogi Bhajan.

Hope this helps,

If you can't find things at the other on-line sites that Satsang

mentions, you can find any KY music through Golden Temple (800-829-

3970 or 505-753-0563) - they have by far the largest collection. If

you order, ask for a catalog, since they don't have it on-line.

In "Transitions" there is a section titled "Sets for the navel center

and the lower triangle" - the lower triangle means the lower 3

chakras, so you could choose any set in the group that fits your time

requirement and current fitness level.

how did you find ky?

hello--

this morning, during my looong commute on the train, I got to

thinking: I wonder how everyone on the kundaliniyoga list found out

and began their practice of ky. I began simply because i found a

video by Carol Carlson at a health food store and bought it and loved

it. Then, I saw a picture of people meditating at last year's summer

solstice, and unbidden, the thought came into my head: someday I'll

go there! Talk about intutition! Anyway, I'd love to her and learn

from your stories.

Hi m-c:

Amazon.com sells 2 videos that I know of, both of which i have and

can recommend: KY for Grace and Strength with Carol Carlson. This was

my introduction to ky and is a great and thourough practice. Also,

Kundalini Yoga with Gurmukh is excellent and a little more aerobic

with less emphasis on meditation.

Re: Elements

Hi,

I'm new to the list, my name is Julie.

While I was doing the ong na moo guru na dev na mo chant, I sat

quickly with myself, looking at my brow, when I saw a yellow eye starring

back at me. As I looked at the eye, it tuned into a black panther, which I

associate with as my fire element. As I looked at the black cat, it turned

into a black bull. I thought this was weird, what does a black bull have to

do with anything? Not getting an answer, I just blew it off.

The next morning while looking through the KY sight I came across the

info on getting in touch with Taurus this month. I thought that was cool,

because that explained the bull. I thought that was pretty cool that I had

tuned into Taurus before I even knew about.

Love, Julie

This is a big question that could take a book to answer. I suggest that you

start practicing KY with my book Relax and Renew available on

www.yogatech.com. I feel confident you will get your answers. Have you read

my lessons available at www.kundaliniyoga.org. Also reading the answers to

questions on this list will illustrate how people use KY to address specific

issue.

Any KY sets and meditations will facilitate transformation. The specific

uses are listed in my books.

This is a good illustration of the power of KY to tune us into reality. If

you have a question, put it out there and do KY. You will get your answer.

That is what I do. If I need an answer, it is always forthcoming. All

knowledge is always available to everyone. We just have to be available to

receive it.

Maybe, I don't know. But the body is supposed to be cremeated. This is very

important as the body must go back to the earth before the soul can be

liberated.

Hi Ellen,

I had to stop doing my routine late at night because I was waking up

at 2am and feeling like running a few miles. Maybee I should wake my

wife up and put the energy to good use---if it wasn't for that "work-

at-6am-thing", she might just be up to it;-) Seriously, I don't know,

perhaps try the "Salute to the Moon".

Other resources in addition to what Gururattan Kaur kindly offered are three

books by Yogi Bhajan, the living master of Kundalini Yoga, titled "Specific

Healing Applications of Kundalini Yoga", "Healing Through Kundalini

Meditation and Masage", and "Handbook for Psychologists" and also "Brain

Longevity" by Dharma Singh Khalsa MD which deals specifically with issues

related to the functioning of the brain and mind.

You can find these online on this site: www.a-healing.com

As to the second question, tantric Buddhism is heterosexual by definition.

This is important because it deals with the union of yin and yang, which

cannot be achieved otherwise. I haven't heard of homosexuality cases. White

Tantric Yoga, which is a part of Kundalini Yoga, is not sexual in nature,

but a group meditation experience under the guidance of a living master.

If you have any urgent questions about special conditions that you would

like suggestions about before (or after!) you can get these books please

post them and we will try our best to answer.

I hope this helps!

Peace and blessings,

Satsang Kaur
