regarding the experiences of being the observer and the carrier of the

experience i would like to recomend a book about babaji and kriyayoga,

it's very self explanatory about all the fenomena and the awakening of

the kundalini. Also in the Munduka Upanishad you'll find a lot about

the observer and the experiencer.

how to stop

I have a question for the ng.

I have been meditating for some time now. Just recently, I have had some

new experiences, and would like to share them with you.

I have been using localized attention to certain areas of my body along with

counting. After which (about 54 to 81 breaths), I leave my mind alone.

Everything at this point is rather confusing. I have a feeling that I am

observing myself, but I am aware that I am observing myself. Once I become

of the second awareness, I realize that I have been unaware of what was

going on and this brings the whole thing to a halt.

During this time, I have the most wonderful experience. Something that is

hard to even put words to.

Can anyone tell me how to NOT realize that I am aware of this awareness?

It would be much appreciated.

Secondly, if this is the experience that one is trying to achieve, it is

infinitely pleasureable. And if this is in fact the case, then isn't this

what Patanjali said to avoid. The whole pleasure / pain cycle.

Brightest Blessings,

Adam Hoyt

Re: ~~~ Chakara Opening Experience ~~~

Dear David,

Thank you for sharing your beautiful experience. I have been waiting for

someone else to respond. There are so many ways that the chakras can open

up and the Kundalini can awaken. Sounds like yours is unique to this list

at least.

I would be interested in what you experienced a week or so after this

experience. How has your consciousness, thoughts or reactions changed?

Thanks again for sharing.

Sat Nam,

RAttana

Re: ~~~ Chakara Opening Experience ~~~

Hello all,

I have been lurking for a few weeks, and wished to share an experience that

I

call life altering. I have been aware of many gifts: empathy, telepathic

communication and trance qualities since a very early age. They were just

things I learned to live with, and until the last 6 months or so, I never

made

any conscious move to try to understand or use these gifts.

I recently was undergoing a full body massage with a friend who is near and

dear, and who is a respected massage therapist of some reknown. The massage

lasted about 45 minutes, and as I trance very easily, I soon found myself

deeply

at ease, and breathing quietly, in a meditative state. As he began to

finish

his work on my neck, there was an odd shift in the "workings" of the room.

I

next felt his hands, although not touching me, to the front and back of me -

hovering over my solar plexus. The experience that followed was

magnificent,

and I found that the energy coursing through me was full throttle and yet,

under

my control. This energy exchange between us lasted about 15 minutes, and as

he

moved his hands up my body, and hovered over my forehead, the third eye

opened

and shone, with such a light that I can still remember the colour in the

room.

After I had recovered from the experience, and later in the evening, my

friend

described that he had seen and felt an energy like a spring, coiling and

uncoiling from my solar plexus, and forcing his hands from contact with my

skin.

He has been doing and receiving energy work for some years, and he had no

knowledge of the fact that I was beginning to work on my own chakras and the

energy they generate. He said it was a paricularly exciting and challenging

opportunity for him. Needless to say - although home locales separate us by

a

few hundred miles - we are planning to meet again, and see what else we can

explore, with a view to both of us gaining new insight into this very

spiritual

and enlightening experience.

Now, I walk in the full knowledge that I can indeed, with practice and

meditation, allow this energy to expand and teach me. Any others with

similar

experiences, please do not hesitate to contact me; I would be pleased to

hear of

other such experiences.
