So who attended Woodstock 69? Anti-War Protesters, Vietnam Vets, Black

Militants, Rednecks, Anti-Gays, Gays/Lesbians, Legalize Drugs advocates, Ban

Drugs advocates, Anti-Government advocates, Pro-Government advocates, and

those who were just there for the MUSIC! :)

On the negative side, according to police reports, there were 2 deaths (but

there were also 2 births!). Although there were more than a few drug busts,

there were NO reports of burglary and *NO* violent crime in the surrounding

communities.

On the positive side, 500,000 young citizens were virtually left on their own

and discovered the words Sharing, Helping, Consideration, and Respect to be

very powerful.

Thousands left the Woodstock event with a totally different outlook on life.

The 600 acre cleanup was accomplished in less than 5 days by the Woodstock cre

w and fans.

I appreciate your input but that was an approach that I felt was too drug

and sex oriented for true spirtual growth. Who knows, there are many paths

up the mountian. I probably missed the main point of it all, if so I am

sorry. If Woodstock was able to reach those who otherwise would not have

been touched than that is good. I still have negative feelings regarding it

even though I beleave in peace and love; the point is not just getting there

but how you get there makes a difference. Sandy
