Hi Chris,

I don't know if anyone addressed the questions you asked (below)

but I would like to put in my 3 cents:

You cannot foul the atmosphere for anyone.

If you are attending class, even the fact that you are on this list, and

your interest in Kundalini yoga, all go toward that you are making

efforts. That's all any of us do.

re: temptation of the material world-

I'm not sure what you mean, but I've been (loosely sometimes, tightly

other times) affiliated with 3HO for 20 years and in my experience, and

one thing I like about it is, people don't leave the material world.

What is your temptation - food sex I don't know but I remember reading

somewhere that Yogi Bhajan said the only sin is not believing we are God.

So sin is not eating a whole chocolate cake, even tho that may be

unhealthy.

What is your "bad mantra"?

Excuse me if I sound like I am psychoanalyzing you -I don't mean to- just

to respond to your questions-

There is no "priviledge" you can abuse. You are certainly entitled to all

the light and joy that you can get, that doesn't lessen the amount for

someone else.

As Yogi Bhajan says, Joy is your birthright.

Come to think of it, maybe your post resonates with me because I had

similar thoughts when I first started taking classes. I was always down in

the dumps, and I thought maybe I didn't belong there. I was wrong.

Also, I suggest you address the teacher with your concerns if you feel

comfortable doing so. I always got such good response by doing that- I

always found teachers to listen well and so far their feed-back has been

on the money.

Best to you,

Kartar Kaur
