Guest guest
Rattana, thanks for the stories about your class. Anybody, do you know of a timer which is good for meditation- I used to use a kitchen timer, but I had to wrap it up in a towel and put it in a drawer because the "briing!" would be so abrupt to me in my meditative state. I am looking for a digital, I don't know what kind of ringer it has. Next I will see if there is a shop online (sure to be) which sells meditative supplies, maybe they have one. The person with the microwave was a good idea, but I don't have a microwave. Anybody recommend a timer or a company? Thanks, Kartar kaur
Guest guest
Dear Kartar Kaur, I found a timer for meditative purposes at a Radioshack, they had a number of digital timers that would fulfill your need. Good luck, Sat Nam Maya...

Guest guest
Dear Kartar Kaur, My most prized possession is my meditation timer. I have a Casio Timer and Alarm called Time Face QA-100. I had to order it from Casio. It should not cost more than $20. Actually my most prized possession was my previous timer by Casio. It could be set to go off every 5 minutes, perfect for SA TA NA MA Meditation. They don't make it any more. If any one finds such a timer please let us know!! The ring has to be very soft too. These are both pocket calculators. They used to have both in Target and Drug stores, but couldn't find them last time I ordered mine. Guest guest
Hi Karta Kaur I normally meditate to music - my favorite is the Aquarian Sadhana CD - you can get it from Cherdi Kala - http://www.cherdikala.com/ The first four tracks are each 7 minutes - you can play through them all, or set the player on repeat and just listen to your favorite. If you count the repeats then you know how long you have been meditating for. Sat Nam!
