Guest guest
Hi everybody, Sat nam This morning while doing my yoga I got this thought- usually when I practice I imagine myself in the class i used to be in, makes it easier. Today I thought about all of you out there in the ether-land who *are* "in my class", so I like to imagine we are doing it together even if doing different things at different times. After all, in virtual reality, anything is possible. I usually do mine about 6 am, est. Please let me know if anyone else practices at that time. Regarding the Full Moon med on Dec 21, I haven't read Rattana's info yet (Thanks Rattana) but I assume it says the time to meditate. So I propose all of use virtual members get together that time and meditate and let's try to get 11 of us and then we will have a group. Second, I've been thinking about any person who may be beginning meditation, to share this bit: There is a book by Ram Dass (if any of you are old enough!) called Grist for the Mill. Also, from my Vipassana practice, (where we sit for 1 hour watching our breath). If you are a beginner you may find the instruction says, "Focus on your brow point", and that your attention is all over the map, you may feel frustrated, or that "you are not doing it right". In Vipassana we say, if your mind wanders, gently bring it back, do not get angry or blame yourself, just every time you notice the mind wandering, gently bring it back to the focus. And Ram Dass by the title of his book means anything can be grist for the mill. In this case, the very act of returning your attention to the focus is improving your meditation. So, you are not wasting your time, it is all for the good. Sat nam. Best, Kartar Kaur
