Guest guest
Hi My name is Sashiva. This name was given to me in meditation when I first started working with a gong and Tibetan Singing Bowls. I used to see it as an integration of the male and female energies the Sa being the sanscrit for the female womb energy as someone told me and shiva being the most auspicious God of death and transformation, ( a very apt desciption of the gong work.) However this year I was fortunate to meet Swami Yogananda from France who is a great Sanscrit scholar and poet.. He told me that it actually means 'with Shiva', again rather apt for the Gong . I gather that it also has a meaning in Hebrew where sa refers to sound and Ashiv means something like I will bring back to the people. Amazing isn`t it how Spirit works? When I got the name I really didn`t know too much about Shiva and was following Tibetan buddhist teachings from Lama Gangchen, who is a fantastic Healing lama who works for Peace in 33 different countries. Since then Yoga has come back into my life ( I have practiced and taught a rather rough and ready Hatha yoga, on and off for twenty years, but more off than on.) and I have become an initiate of Swami Satchidananda from www.Yogaville.com This has really changed my life . I find Integral Yoga a very accessible and powerful form of yoga, particularly the Japa practice and the pranayama. In my meditations I have had some quite amazing Kundalini related experiences and I am keen to learn more about Kundalini Yoga. Then this address popped up from my friend and healing Teacher, Jessica Macbeth through onelist and here I am , interested to learn more. I live about half an hour from Glastonbury England, which is a very special place to have the priviledge of being, and am very blessed to work a lot with angels, sacred sound and earth healing. I also teach courses, but am taking a bit of a break at present to do some recording and go deeper into my own practices. I look forward to meeting you online.
