Guest guest
I did some research about Yogi Bhajan, and I was fairly concerned about what I came up with. The following site gave me serious misgivings: http://rickross.com/groups/3ho.html --- Angelbright theglobe.com Your friendly full-service integrated online community. http://www.theglobe.com

The following site gave me serious misgivings: http://rickross.com/groups/3ho.html --- Angelbright >> I did come across this site about a year ago.... a friend had invited me to a gurdwara on sunday for a Sikh service... so i did some research because i was concerned about proper ettiquitte since i knew nothing about the Sikh religion.... i was stunned at what i read... but also realised that the people who wrote the site had gripes about Yogi Bhajan/3HO/Sikhism... so i didn't allow myself to take all of it in without experiencing it for myself.... what i did experience at the Gurdwara was nothing different than going to "church" except to me.. these people were more "in-tuned" to what they were saying/singing/ believing.... it wasn't all rote... as my former church has become... it didn't lack sacredness.. but this is my opinion.... i have no intentions of becoming a Sikh anytime soon... but i have a GREAT amount of repect for this religion.... and i am glad that i got to experience this.... and it was here that i got to learn alittle more about Kundalini Yoga.... and signed up for classes... in the back of my mind i still know that i read that website... and know that maybe some of it is true... but what one person does, does not stop the fact that this yoga technology works!... and Yogi Bhajan has done more good to spread this technology to us than harm in anyway i am sure..... a lot of spiritual teachers will have some sort of scandal applied to them.... (ie.. Maharishi Mahesh Yogi/Mia Farrow).. but i think what makes alot of these "human" things seem scandalous is that we tend to put a "god-like" status on these teachers..... or apply "chastity, poverty, obedience" to every spiritual teacher... even though this is a christian thought.... nobody is perfect... even "spiritual beings having a human experience"-..... <smile> i won't ramble on much longer.. haha but i think truth has alot to do with what you experience for yourself much more than what you read and what others tell you.... you can read about KYoga... and have people tell you all about it... but only when you try it for yourself will the experience becomes "truth".. hope that made sense... <smile> Sat Nam..... _/\_ Akire
Guest guest
I think someone who considers himself as spiritual master and is adored by many of his students cannot act in the way described on the website. Being spiritual master does not only mean to speak out spiritual phrases non-stop or bringing out everyday a new meditation. A "real" spiritual master symbolizes much more. One of his claims is that he is an elightend being and that he experienced the whole Kundalini yoga path by himself and observes & leads the spiritual progress of his students throught his subtle body. Besides a master shall represent the highest ideal a human can be. But if the concepts of the highests ideal I personally have are not compatible with his representation it causes doubts & negativity. I don't know if it are entitled doubts...and that confuses me. How can I believe someone who praises Kundalini Yoga as helpful for almost all problems & imperfections but obviously doesn't represent what he "preaches" or what he expect from his students. Ok, another argument could be that it belongs to his teachings to confuse his people with "crazy wisdom" so they can leave all concepts & imaginations behind...and that's my hope for all yogis. I asked a teacher about my doubts a longer time ago but this teacher chose the easiest & most uncourageous way and ignored me (and my doubts grew)...thanks Rattana! Bye for now & bye forever
Guest guest
Dear Al, Tuning in is the subject of lesson 3 kyt03. Just send a blank email to the above address. (And send a blessing to Gordon when you do it. He has made this system possible.) You can also read about it when you get your book. Guest guest
Regarding Angelbright's worries and source of information: << http://rickross.com/groups/3ho.html >> Everybody should check out this site, it's absolutely pathetic. Rick Ross is a self-styled "expert witness on cults" and ardent self-promoter. The quotes he gathers and the accusations he lists are pretty random. In fact, I was really disappointed because I think any organization that offers hope to people, whether the United Way or 3HO, should be scrutinized for abuses. There is nothing credible in the entire site and the research is flimsy. It's also laughingly one-sided. Surprise, another crank is using the internet to promote his business! I think the best way to figure out if Yogi Bhajan and 3HO are trustworthy is to go to summer solstice and see for yourself. There will be good and bad and you get to do lots of fun yoga.
