Dear Eva,

 

As far as I know you can practice Sat Kriya as part of a longer sequence

(usually towards the end) or by itself. As for adding more asanas to a

kriya, I do not know of any bad effects, however each kriya is designed with

a specific effect and is "whole" in itself.

 

If your back pain persists, please consider talking to a physician. It is

important not to aggravate any existing problems. I fractured my left hand

some years ago and was recommended to be careful. You can practice of

course, but be gentle with yourself. If you are straining too much and

causing pain, this will not be of any help. Don't do postures that hurt, or

don't keep them for a long time. If you go a bit slower, you will find that

your problems will heal themselves in time. Take good care of yourself.
