Sat Nam all,

I am just checking in for support. I am on day 23 of Sadhana! I can't

believe I am up at 3:15am! I show up at Yoga West in LA for group

Sadhana...what a difference it makes when I do a group vs. my own in my

house. I am doing this for at least 40 days as I want to see what the

experience will bring and it is also highly suggested as part of my teacher

training program at Golden Bridge in Los Angeles.

I am starting to experience something interesting with the mantras...when we

are all chanting in the same pitch...I don't know how to explain it, but I

feel it quite a bit in my head, the vibration...am I making sense?

I do have a few questions:

1. Why do some yogi's/sikh's wear orange turbins or blue vs. white?

2. In my 23 days, I have yet to see a woman lead a Sadhana...why?

3. I know that when a woman is in her cycle, in her first 3 days, there are

certain postures that you don't do full strength...is that the same principle

for Sadhana? And if so, what is the guideline?

4. I seem to have no flexibility at all when doing things like camel pose or

any type of posture where you have to lean back, wheel pose...even spinal

flexes seem to be very minimal compared to the yogis I see...if you can't do

it, then how do you get more flexible?

5. Why don't we end with Long Time Sun?

Any feedback would be appreciated!

breath...he is quite amazing..I found out I don't breath right or walk

right...LOL...

Thanks again..

Dear Hari Kaur,

I just completed the Aquarian newsletter so am getting to my back emails.

Congratulations on your almost 30th day of Sadhana! That is quite a feat.

It won't make sense, just hold on the the experience while you are in it.

Internal shifts are taking place.

> 1. Why do some yogi's/sikh's wear orange turbins or blue vs. white?

Those colors also create a high vibration and they like to wear them.

> 2. In my 23 days, I have yet to see a woman lead a Sadhana...why?

Not sure. Probably no one volunteered. Ask.

No heavy navel exercises or inverted postures. A woman's energy should be

directed downward, not upward duirng her moon cycle. No over exertion. But

moving the legs especially can be very helpful. I remember once in New

Hampshire, it snowed a magnificent white blanket. I would have stayed in

bed that day because of cramps. But I had a policy, when it snows in NH, I

am on the cross country skis. When I returned the cramps were completely

gone and I felt fabulous. Exercise is important.

You work up to it by doing preliminary exercises. Ask Guru Prem in LA or go

to his Wed night class at Yoga West.

Ask them.

Dear Alina,

The general principles are to do the yoga and meditation practices before

you start your day and before the sun rises. The next thing is to do the

best you can when you can and then relax and enjoy what you are doing. You

may have to break up your practice into segments. Do as much as you can fit

it even if it is a few mintues to get centered before you start your day.

Before eating lunch and before eating dinner are also good times.

Meditating before going to bed it great. Yoga before bed is tricky. If you

go straight to bed you will probably sleep very well. If you take too much

time you will be energized and not want to go to sleep. Do the best you can

and feel blessed.

This is what IS. Different chakras are opening up. Be with the experience

and feel the energy in your body. Enjoy the experiences. Expand your

conscious awareness of what is happening. Consciousness is infinitely vast.
