Dear Sheri,

 

I had trouble just like you for a while before before being able to do

20-20-20 breathing. I suggest you should try increasing in small steps, from

10 seconds each phase to 12, then 14 and on to 20. It worked well for me,

and if you can do it it is quite an amazing and very calming experience.

The meditation is at the end of the 15 pages.

 

I also suggest using the mantra SA TA NA MA chanted internally. You can

"time" yourself with how many times you repeat the mantra during each part

of the breath.
