1 minute breath, throat, timer

"Locking" the throat is simply to help the energy move. It is almost like

unlocking it because the throat is in the right positon. I think you have

the right formula--relax in the position but don't relax to the point that

the breath leaks out.

The effects take a certain time to occur so we want to make sure we do them

the minimum time to get the effect.

 

And why not work untimed as well?

 

For the reasons you have found out, it is much more relaxing and actually

easier to stay focused without waiting for the timer to go off. That is

fine. Enjoy whatever method works best for you at the moment. Sometimes it

is nice to have the timer so you don't have to think if you have done the

exercise long enough. This is especially true for meditations so we don't

have to look at the clock. We do develop an inner timer after a while.
