Guest guest
Dear Friends, I received a question off list that deserves to be answered for everyone. And maybe this will stimulate some discussion from a few days of quiet on the list. Why is it important to be centred and grounded - what do these terms mean, and is being centred the same as being grounded? <FreyjaD There are so many was to answer this question and I am sure others will have their personal input. Simply--being centered means being present to yourself. The navel point is a key component in this awareness because it is the one place in the body where centering physiologically takes place. Do navel exercises to experience centering. Being grounded means being present in your body and connected to the Earth plane, as opposed to off on some mental thought or fantasy. They are both two aspects of the same phenomenon of being-here-now. This is one way to experience what is real vs what is a mind trip. I cover these topics from different vantage points in all my KYTraining lessons which are available on autoresponders. (see www.kundalinliyoga.org classes) We have to practice and cultivate continual awareness of our body, energy and emotions to stay grounded and centered. These are prerequisites for being here now--where everything is happening. If you want to join the party, you have to be present. TIP Join the be-here-now party. It is free and it is fun. You will know when you are here. Sat Nam, Rattana
