Guest guest
Greetings, I have been quiet for a while because I have been racking my brain with finishing up my degree. Anyways, Lotus feet in the heart. I am a devotee to Ganesha. Worshipping at the feet of a deity (or Guru) is an act of homage as well as adoration. This can be then taken in a string of connections. Many people use different things as Guru. It is a teacher student relationship implied by the word Guru. It could be a deity, a human person, or yourself. Since dicernment (vivika) is a process that seekers are trying to accomplish, finding out what your Guru is - is part of the process. Next, the lotus is first a symbol of great beauty as well as a symbol of the flowering of enlightenment. The lotus grows upon water, symbolically above the turmoil created in our minds forming a place of peace and tranquility. At the masters (guru's) feet is a place where learning is accomplished. Finally, the heart is the place where love and compassion originate. Combining all of this is a little complicated. But I believe it to imply this; may the one that you hold most sacred, of which you acquire great learning and liberation, be so close to you that it lives and breathes as your own person. Brightest Blessings, Adam Hoyt ____ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
