Guest guest
welcome Georgia, It's great to know a fellow yoga lover.... If you have any suggestions or need any info this is the place to be. There are a few things I have learned along the way: I find that being in tune to what my body is telling me is the most important thing. Many times in the beginning of classes, I would try so hard to mimic the yoga instructor too passionately. I would often force a stretch or move to be in the same body shape and hold. That is a dangerous practice. Thank goodness I never had a serious injury. Listen to your body. Yoga is not about bending like a pretzel or how deep your stretch can go. For instance,if you can only reach your knees, not your ankles, so be it. In time this practice will be as familiar as breathing. Your body and mind will get more free to it. The changes will be slight and it will be so wonderful getting there. I'm sure you catch my drift about the whole thing. Be careful and have fun with it. It doesn't need to be sooooooo serious either. Keep in touch. Nice to know fellow yoga "peeps"...Barbara Jean
