Guest guest
On the topic of drugs...I have studied w/ several phychics and mediums that have very strongly said that any time you are doing spiritual work you should absolutely keep away from drugs!!! Usually the goal is to reach the highest vibration frequency possible (you'll reach more loving, knowledgable and evolved beings). Drugs lower your vibrational frequency, attracting confused, trapped and deceptive beings. I tried the pot thing before I knew this, thinking it would "expand my awareness, etc." I must say, my awareness, intuition, capacity to love and progress has sky rocketed since I quit the marijuana. Looking back, it just made me and all my other pothead friends, numb, unclear, confused, lazy and spacy. I agree w/ all those that said keep away from drugs. I dream of an enlightened, loving, and drug-free society. People need to face their power, fears, and fully experience life, not drown it out with drugs. This will not happen by legalizing marijuana. I'm extremely annoyed about that posting on this list. Much Love to All, Jeanette ______________ YOU'RE PAYING TOO MUCH FOR THE INTERNET! Juno now offers FREE Internet Access! Guest guest
Hi Sebastiaan & All Just to clarify things - it is Gururattan, (and ultimately Yogi Bhajan!) you need to thank for the Mantras - they are from her book Transitions to a Heart-Centered World. All I have done, with her permission, is to add them to the Web Site! Regards & Sat Nam! Guest guest
On the contrary I had a very positive encounter with pot. In a discotheque, where they play psychedelic trance,I had a smoke, started dancing, really stamping my feet into the ground. I do have to mention it was very difficult overcoming the thinking, but I managed. Before I knew it it was black infront of me,I couldn't hear, nor see,and my inner voice said that I had to open my eyes.I was floating upto 4 feet above my head, and could see very clearly.I closed my eyes again, and sensed that my roommate was coming to me.I opened my eyes, and he was coming my way.He said he was going home.I said goodbye, and he left. In the bus towards home, without even thinking,I kept my spine straight, like a rocket. My other roommate said it was a very weird site. This proves to me,that if you respect it,it'll respect you. People who are not strong,go further and further, trying stronger and stronger 'methods',and lose control. It also showed me that there's more out there.Worth discovering. I will believe Kundalini gives you a natural high, without after-effects,but there is one 'point': Stop practising, and it drops again. There has to be a method to combine everything,Kundalini,Raya,Hatha,Mantra,Vedic, and all the other names I've heard during my subscription.I've bee searching this ever since I knew I was clairvoyant. That's why I want to do Kundalini, but I do prefer a teacher to guide me. Gordon, thank you for that mantra page, and for that guidance-mantra Love to all Sebastiaan >Bruce H Karren <dkarren >Kundaliniyoga >Kundaliniyoga > Vibrations... >Thu, 9 Mar 2000 08:05:00 -0800 > >Bruce H Karren <dkarren > >On the topic of drugs...I have studied w/ several phychics and mediums >that have very strongly said that any time you are doing spiritual work >you should absolutely keep away from drugs!!! Guest guest
Hello, I have been watching the drug talk on this list, and quite honestly, I find it amusing. It does not seem that many people have actually experiemented with the "drug thing" to an extent as to talk about it. I do not mean these words in a harsh, demeaning, or any other manner. Upon re-reading the first paragraph of my post, it sounds rather arrogant. However, I cannot figure out another way of saying what I want to say without it being written like that. There has been a lot of writing saying that people have heard, or people have read, but have you experienced. Drugs have all too often gotten the bad rap as being the worst thing that anyone can possibly do in modern society. It is propaganda. They are said to claim countless lives, or make you stupid, or divorce you from your family and friends. First, cigarettes (I know most people on this list probably do not smoke) claim more lives than ALL other drugs combined. Add alcohol to the number of lives that tobacco claims, and you are approaching the number of lives claimed in more than many of the wars fought in world history. Anyway, now that the danger thing is taken care of. Drugs do not make you stupid, people are on their own stupid. If drugs are taken in such a manner as for entertainment or unwisely, then yes they will compound your stupidity. However, if they are appoached as something that has its own spirit, and that they are something that is a method of reaching the divine, then they can be most transformative. By using Psilocybin as an enhancement, one can help the body learn how to create its own chemicals to acheive the same results as if the drug was used. "Light shows" are not always present, and in fact, trips without the visuals are actually the most life changing. I have spent hours hearing only my breathing. And truly experiencing what it is to be one with everything. This has been verified personally without the use of drugs, and the results and experience is exactly the same; it just takes a little longer (about 20 minutes) without drugs. Even, the marijuana, when smoked in VERY small amounts is more beneficial than when used in copious quantities. More divine realizations (experienced by myself) have been acheived using small amounts due to the fact that too much is distracting. The body can then over time produce the same response. It is a learning tool, not a crutch. Now, the tool (for me) is no longer necessary, the same bliss can be reached without the drug. This is not for everyone, I realize that. But saying that it is wrong for everyone, is wrong as well. One last thing. Tat tvam asi. That thou art. We are everything. The rich woman, the blind beggar, the stars in the sky, the dirt on the Earth, the tear of a child, the wing of a dove, we are the leaf on a tree, and the tiny mushroom called psilocybin. Smile. Love and Blessings in all Spirit, Adam ____ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
