Guest guest
Dear Siobhan, > My question is, are there any specific postures or meditations > (preparations) kriyas or mudras that I might practice on my own in this > time so that I can be as positive a presence and as comforting a spirit > as possible to her, her family and friends when I am with them (or > even, not with them! just thinking about them) and after she passes? > Also, some of the friends may at some point come together for group > meditation...any ideas for what I might suggest/bring to the group? As I mentiioned in a previous letter chanting Akaaaaaaaaaaal which means undying soul is the chant to liberate souls. It helps to chant it before the soul has passed and is especially important to chant it after the soul leaves the body. YB says that it is important for the soul to leave out the crown chakra. You might tell this to your friend even through meditation. YB also told us to chant HAR HARE HARI WHA HE GURU repeating in a monotone. This helps the person not suffer physical pain. Simply be present and loving. The rest is Divine. Sat Nam, Gururattan Kaur

Guest guest
Dear Rattana, thank you for your suggestions. I just got to read them today, so I will have to let you know later what I experience when I chant Akaaaaaaal to liberate Patty's soul (and others!). I wanted to let you know that I also got an answer from you to my question over a week ago when I was reading your newsletter on "Pisces." As usual, the newsletter applied directly to my inner life and many of the issues I've been meditating on in my life over the last couple of months. More than Seredipity! I enjoy them so much and they have such a beneficial effect on my life and yoga practice. But the answer to my questions came when you mentioned which day would be the New Moon in Pisces...March 5th. That was the day that Patti died!! I read it a few days after she had gone.... you wrote somthing like (sorry I don't have my printed copy with me to quote you exactly): "March 5th is an optimal day to surrender to the Beloved and merge with the Divine." And she did! My relaying of this news has really helped her partner, Monica (also my friend). That is exactly what we wanted for Patti. Maybe Monica will do the Mantra with me...I think, however, that Patti's soul is already liberated. This was a reminder to me that if I ask for Clarity in my meditation and thoughts, (or by asking questions) I will receive it.... and the yoga opens my channels so that I can be present to receiving the answers. Blessings and Sat Nam, Siobhan _____________________________ Message: 12 Thu, 9 Mar 2000 12:09:32 -0800 "Rattana Khalsa" <rattanakRe: Dying Dear Siobhan,> My question is, are there any specific postures or meditations > (preparations) kriyas or mudras that I might practice on my own in this > time so that I can be as positive a presence and as comforting a spirit > as possible to her, her family and friends when I am with them (or > even, not with them! just thinking about them) and after she passes? > Also, some of the friends may at some point come together for group > meditation...any ideas for what I might suggest/bring to the group?
