My purpose is to learn about Kundalina Yoga. I've been practicing meditation for as long as I can remember (yes, as a child with no instruction). My meditation has not been of a particular method, for as I believe meditation is meditation. You sit, you are still and quiet, you go within and go from there. Either you listen, you work with what is given to you in meditation, or you just sit. However, I am drawn to these teachings and am very new to Kundalini Yoga and I wish to learn. I've been reading with interest the discussion about the sheepskin and it makes me smile. The most logical comment in all of this, in my humble opinion, is that made here, by Suki: "we are all on the path we are supposed to be in this lifetime." This IS the truth. You can discuss the issue until you fall down in exhaustion (and I smile at the visual of this), but in the end it really doesn't matter. You are here in this life on this path because it IS where you are supposed to be. If you believe the sheep loves to have his skin used for meditation, then that is the truth. If you believe using the sheepskin adds to your karma, then that is the truth. These are your truths that cannot be inflicted upon others. This is YOUR belief system to serve your spiritual path in this lifetime. It does not mean that others who disagree with you are wrong. They are right and you are right.
