Guest guest
on Easter at sunrise I went to a field where a labyrinth has been laid out patterned after the labyrinth in Chartes Cathedral. We held candles, walked the path in meditation, placed our candle in the center, took a red tulip, said our prayer, and walked back out. My prayer was for guidance and discipline to establish my daily practice. Now for about a month I've been doing yoga every morning. (This was quite an adjustment from many years of, wake up, turn on NPR, make a cup of coffee!) It happened so gradually that I hardly noticed my prayer was being answered! Now I am planning another labyrinth walk for the full moon this month. On that night I will begin house-sitting at a lovely home surrounded by forest and I plan to spend the first 3 days in Spiritual retreat focusing on yoga and prayer. Finding right livelihood is a primary issue for me now. This time I am the person planning the labyrinth walk, so it is up to me to find appropriate readings to share. Does anyone know any poetic, moony, women's circle, kind of thing that would be good for this purpose? I would like it to be perhaps from India sacred text because I want to honor my answered prayer and my Kundalini Yoga path. Also, because I am an artist, Sarasvati is my honored deity. I would be interested to find writings that relate to her. Sat Nam, Peggy Sue
