Guest guest
Dear Y N Gupta, I live in a rural place in the United States where there are no instructors in Kundalini Yoga. I have learned about Kundalini Yoga from books, videos and the information on the Internet. I have also taken Hatha Yoga classes in the past and have access to Hatha Yoga instruction. Having a background in Hatha Yoga has given me a much better foundation to study Kundalini Yoga on my own than I could ever have had without it. I think that if you cannot find a Kundalini Yoga teacher in your area it is still very good to take some kind of yoga class to support your exploration of Kundalini Yoga. I use videos for my daily practice. I like having a teacher, even if they speak to me from a plastic box, saying encouraging words like "very good now, Keep Up!" Having a strong base in Hatha yoga makes KY even more powerful. KY integrates many forms of yoga and hatha or physical postures are the base.
