Guest guest
Dear Gururattan, I was wondering if there are specific KY sets for the pancreas ? There is a really strong history of diabetes in my family - four out of six on my mother's side got latent diabetes, and my mother died from a pancreatic disorder. That's five out of six. I've already had gestational diabetes, and have a 70% chance of developing it again. The only thing in my favour is my weight - I'm very light. I'm very aware of the need to watch my diet and keep my blood sugar level balanced - even though regular tests appear to be normal I do get very definite hypoglycemic symptoms if I don't eat regularly. I was wondering if KY could become a part of my strategy - apart from my regular practice ? Have a wonderful time at Solistice !!! The first one is for diabetes (from Yogi Bhajan's 'Healing Through Kundalini' book): Sit in easy pose. Inhale completely. Exhale completely, and hold the air out as you pump the navel in then out. Continue on th held exhale for 15-60 seconds. When you need to take a breath, inhale, exhale, then begin pumping again on the held exhale. Continue for 1-3 minutes. This technique takes sugar out of the bloodstream. It is not recommended for hypoglycemics. Other techniques that might help are "beak breath" (the mouth makes a tight "o" and the breath is inhaled in one long stroke or in short sips) for 31 minutes, maha mudra for 15 min, and foot massage at the pancreas point (below the ball of the foot, in the middle of the sole). And here is an exercise to strenghten the pancreas: Kneel in rock pose, hands crossed over your navel. Bring your forehead to the floor and raise your buttocks to 60 degrees. Maintain the position for 3 min. Still kneeling in the rock pose, hands on the knees, lean back 60 degrees from the floor. Maintain the pose for 3 min. Hope this helps!
