Guest guest
Sadhant Singh, I have taken instruction from a transcendant woman, who refers to herself spiritually as Gururattan Kaur Khalsa, here in Southern Nevada. I wonder if it is the same teacher, what with renewed popularity of spiritual names, it seems plausible that these names might be repeated in the growing number of faithful. She is a true conduit of primordial truth, with a voice that shakes my medula to the core. But alas, my moral discipline and spiritual stamina are not up to the task of following her lead. I wonder if it Unashaman: Yogi Bhajan chooses the names based on Vedic numerology - I know two women named Deva Kaur - they don't have the same birthday, but they do have the same Vedic numerology, so that explains why names are duplicated - it happens a lot, actually. Your Gururattan Kaur Khalsa is (I'm pretty sure not the same one who often posts here, to whom I referred - she lives in California, and is the author of several excellent books and manuals (such as Transitions to a Heart-Centered World). And I recommend that you don't judge yourself or compare yourself to others (and I recommend the same thing to myself - do as I say, not as I do First of all, discipline is not something we are born with, but something we develop. Our goal is to do the best we can with where we are right now - and to get up tomorrow and do it again. Judging/comparing can often lead to either (or both of) pushing too hard (and then being too sore/tired/whatever to do your best tomorrow) or feeling despairing and inadequate and, again, not doing your best. We have to find that fine line between pushing too hard (fanaticism) and not pushing enough (laziness - hey, these are the SSS's words - and remember that this line changes every day. I tend to push too hard, and my first teacher will often remind me that I need to be more loving toward myself. And sooner or later I fall back into that pattern again. Hmmm, could it be that I haven't cleared out all my psychological stuff? Oh no, I'm not perfect! OK, but I will get up early and do sadhana tomorrow. :) Sat Nam! Guest guest
Dear Sadhant, I commend your choice of words such as condut, medulla, (spelled incorrectly) and plausible. I think that vocabulary is very important in our every day speaking. I bet you are a brainitac, cool! Lola
