Dear Amrit Dev,

I ordered some chaparral leaf powder some time back;

the package gives the Latin as Larrea Tridentatta.

I ordered through my health food store, but the

package gives Starwest Botanicals on the label,

made in Mexico.

I am using a small amount of this powder (about

2 tablespoons) in a base of green clay, using a

2-ounce jar. I use this to brush my teeth, either

with or without a small amount of good toothpaste

(Tom's). Wondering if I should use more of the

chapparal? this is my first experiment with it

in this way and I tend to be cautious with any

herb as potent as this one is. I'm planning to

try to adapt the mouthwash recipe for use with

this powder (rather than leaves) and would appreciate

ANY input from the person who offered the recipe, and

anyone else. By the way, this toothpowder is not

at all unpleasant to use, because of the green clay

base and I was noticing good results in just 3 days.

I really gagged when I first tried to brush my tongue

though-- that's the reason I added the toothpaste into

the experiment.

Thank you,

Sat Nam,

Len
