Dear Lim,

 

I too am struggling to make sense of living a spiritual life and

having an income. I have started practicing 2 mudras together, one

for prosperity, the other for guidance. They are from the book,

Healing Mudras: Yoga for your Hands by Sabrina Mesko. For Prosperity,

sit with a straight spine, hold your hands in front of you with the

little fingers together, turn your hands over without losing contact.

With the thumbs tucked in, index fingers together, hold them each way

for one second saying the word Ra, meaning God. Keep this up for 3 or

11 minutes. After doing that, I do the Mudra for guidance. Holding

your hands in front of you but with a little space between the small

fingers do long slow breathing focused at the space between your

fingers for 3 to 11 minutes. Ask for guidance. I haven't been doing

this for very long but I did get a surprise check in the mail for the

amount of money I needed and am now applying for a job that sounds

promising. It is definitely worth a try.

 

For me Mother Nature is God, so the closer I get to God the more

meaningfully I relate to the physical world. This is not materialism

in the sense of accumulating money and objects. It is seeing the

sacred nature of all creation and treating the forms in matter with

due respect. For me gardening is a good way to connect with the Earth

in all it's miraculous and sacred wonder.
