Guest guest
Hello. Reading all the Arizona messages about heat made me giggle, I just finished a book called the Kundalini Experience by Lee Sannella MD and in most of the case studies reported there are stories of heat sensations (of course these were experienced outside of desert climes!) Also, reading Mircea Eliade Yoga Immortality and Freedom there is lots of mention of this heat rising in the body and emmanating from the body. IN one case study a woman meditating was over come with intense hot in her hands when she finished her session she had blisters on her thighs from where her hands were resting. Pretty intense huh? I have had some experience with heat rising, but none as intense as this. I do want to ask if anyone out there has had the experience of what I know only to call "a third field of vision". Last year I was meditating and doing lots of Yoga and writing and studying. That was my daily schedule. (tough luck eh!) During this time I was having strange auditory experiences, hearing voices that didn't seem to come from inside my head or outside but somewhere in the middle. This is the best I can do to explain its source. I was also having very intense dreams about the "meaning of things" the meaning of numbers, I was dreaming zen koans, i was dreaming riddles it was very intense and strange. At one point I developed a "third field of vision" that was , similar to the auditory source, not inside my mind and not outside of my body but, somewhere in the middle. I could see into this field by looking not directly into but by holding my eyes to the right. IT's difficult to explain. With this new vision I could see my friends across town, walking down the street, painting, it was very strange and overwhelming. I have slowed my meditating considerably, mostly because I want to work with a teacher. Does anyone identify with this experience? Sorry to write you all a veritable novel! kelly ______________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com
