Guest guest
Hello Everyone, I am delighted and anticipating some wonderful influence from this group. I am 30 years old, and I am the daughter of a yoga teacher who was in turn taught by her father, my grandfather. I have had a lifelong relationship with yoga. I remember inventing "new" asanas as a little girl and doing a sort of freeform "yoga dance" by moving through them one after another! I have gone through phases in my life that moved me away from daily practice, but I have always circled back eventually. I am grateful for the early immersion in yoga, and I have committed to daily practice now for good! I am an artist and I write. Yoga enlivens and invigorates my creative spark like nothing else. Meditation too- I really don't know where I might be if not for meditation. My experience of Kundalini has so far been confined between the pages of books. I feel that it is drawing me in, and I feel more than ready to learn. I am pleased to meet all of you! Blessings and light, Jen
Guest guest
Jen, I've been intending to respond to your message. I also write and curate all kinds of events. My Mother introduced me to Yoga when I was a kid. Like you, I practiced on and off since I was early double digits, without really realizing I was practicing Yoga. A great friend of mine who is also my Yoga teacher has a three year old. She walks around asking everyone if they'd like to do Yoga with her. It's nice to hear from someone else who shares this history. I'd be interested to hear more about how your Yoga and art commiserate. Take it easy. kelly ______________________
