Guest guest
Michael, You say you have a lot of anger and find it hard to control. Do you know what causes this anger? Have you asked yourself why somethings make you angry and others not? Anger, just as a lack of self love is ego orientated. Till you learn this, you're swimming upstream. This comes from someone who knows, but believe me changing this is not easy but can be done. Do you work with affirmations? They helped a lot for me. The group you are refering to is called God-Realized and I find a lot of help from her. A good idea is to print out the material she sends you and go over it many times. If we can't love ourselves FIRST how can we love others? Emaho, Jacqui
Guest guest
Sat Nam! I think something important to realize about anger (negativity, resentment, self-doubt, angst, etc.) is that they are primarily based in the subconscious, often as deeply internalized structures based on childhood (or previous) events and experiences. So intellectual approaches to dealing with such things are really inadequate (or even useless, IMHO). This is one of the reasons Kundalini yoga/meditation is such a powerful tool for dealing with these deeply buried issues. You don't have to understand where they come from or even what they are - simply doing the work is sufficient. A common experience in doing this kind of work is that you feel yourself letting go of this subconscious garbage - without even knowing what it is. This can be a truly joyful experience - and often a painful one, too. Also remember that it took us years (lifetimes) to create the state we are in today, and that clearing it is unlikely to be instantaneous. The key, of course, is sadhana - patient, sincere, regular practice... Love to all! Sadhant Singh
Guest guest
Sat Nam, I wrote about anger in one of the first KYTraining lessons last year. I think it was lesson 2. You can find it on www.kundaliniyoga.org. Basically anger is one of our primal energies. It is navel chakra energy. When we feel disempowered and are not taking appropriate action, we feel angry. DO something and use that powerful energy. There is a great book called "From Anger to Forgiveness" by Earnie Larsen. Small and cheap and almost all of it worth reading. Guest guest
Hi Leaf, Yes, the comments about hell can scare you very much. When I was younger I was terrified that I would die and go to hell. I was convinced there was something wrong with me, ie my sexuality. I am also an angry person. Going inside myself and holding on to my anger was the only way I knew how to survive, so I know all about anger!! Now, I am learning to let it go. It has been a slow process. I am glad you can understand about magic now. It is all around us. All we have to do is open ourselves to it and let it come into our lives and that is when the magic really begins. So we don't get off subject from the group, you can e-mail me personally if you would like to talk about this further. <j-songbird Blessed Be Joe Grant Peace and Blessings
