Guest guest
Hi Sat Sarbat: What I've been told is that pranayama, particularly the long deep breath is very important for asthma, and that breath of fire is very heplful as well. Working on the Basic Breath Series from Sadhana Guidelines would probably be a good choice. Love & blessings, Sadhant
Guest guest
Sat Nam, Working on the Basic Breath Series from Sadhana > Guidelines would probably be a good choice. This set is also in my manual Relax and Renew on page 87. It is a great energizer and balancer. I love this set. Guest guest
Hi Deanna, my name is Jürgen, I am a German living in Shanghai and i am in Kundalini Yoga for about 2.5 years. Just yesterday night, when studying my books, I saw an exercise to cure asthma. Here it goes: "Stand up, heels together. Hands are overhead with palms together. Lean back as fas as possible and do breath of fire for 1 - 3 min. To avoid falling, stand over a gymnast's horse or a soft sofa back or get someone to stand behind you to catch you, if you loose your balance. You must bend back as far as possible. Comments: This exercise is said to make asthma fly away like a crow at the clap of your hands!" Hope it helps you! Guest guest
Hi there Jurgen, Thanks so much for the exercise, I will try it often and see what happens! I can see how it would open up your chest... I have an aussie and she needs lots of exercise so we are outdoors a lot; playing frisbee, ball or taking long walks. The air has been so damp here near the ocean. I'm tired of not being able to take a deep breath and not be able to sing out loud!
