I have a yoga video that shows > the teacher rolling her eyes upward for 3rd eye focus. I have also read > that 3rd eye focus is achieved by staring at the tip of the nose with eyes > 9/10 shut. This causes a crossing of the optic nerve and stimulates the > pituitary gland. When you do this, you can actually feel the third eye point and shift part of your awareness to this point. The third method I remember is to focus the 3rd eye by > imagining a 3 dimensional spot that is located between the eye brows, but > about 1 inch into the head. Is this another one of those nit picking questions? No. Or is the answer that there is one precise way of doing brow point focus? There are even other ways to achieve the same thing, One I know is to start your focus from the back of your head and work in. However, all of these techniques are a question of eye focus. If the eyes can't focus, it might be difficult to do all of them. What have found very effective is to start out with a simple exercise.-- Arms straight out to the side with the palms up. Do breath of fire for 2-3 minutes. After that any of the above methods will work better. I recommend this before any meditation.
