Guest guest
Dear Friends: Tomorrow brings a special full moon, known as the Harvest Moon, so named because the moon rises close to sunset, traditionally providing farmers with extra time to bring in their harvest. Full moons, besides being beautiful, are special times to meditate. Gurunam, who combines the Kabbalah with Kundalini Yoga, recommends that we fast and meditate on the full and new moons. I've been following this practice for nearly a year, and can say that powerful meditations can certainly result from this. Gururattan Kaur has provided us with an excellent full moon meditation in her book "Sexuality and Spirituality". She also discusses the Tantric Healing Ring meditation (for which you need 11 or more people) which can be ordered (for free) at: nmb/index.html See #9, Solstice Full Moon for a complete description. Today I am posting the full moon meditation that Gurunam provides in his book, "Lifting the Veil". I recommend that you fast, or at least try to eat very lightly, to enhance the meditation, balance the body, mind and spirit, strengthen the immune system and advance spiritual development: As typical, sit straight, with neck lock, hands in gyan mudra. The eyes are 9/10 closed, focus at the tip of the nose. The teeth are locked firmly together, and the underside of the tongue is pressed to the roof of the mouth. Mentally project the mantra "Sa Ta Na Ma" from the brow point or 3rd eye. Continue for 15-90 minutes. With my love & blessings, Sadhant Singh
