A question about Kundalini...

Dear Charles:

Sorry to have missed your question. Truly, any kriya or meditation

in KY will help you to develop, particularly when practiced

regularly. As Yogi Bhajan has said, it isn't particularly difficult

to raise the Kundalini energy, but what is more of a challenge is to

maintain the awakening in the face of daily life. This is why

sadhana (daily practice) is so important in any spiritual path.

Most kriyas and meditations in KY actually have a specific purpose,

such as to work on an organ, gland, or chakra, or open all the

chakras, etc.

But there are plenty of kriyas designed specifically to raise

Kundalini energy. For example, Gururrattan's book "Sexuality and

Spirituality" has seven. The most basic meditation of KY, Sat Kriya,

is designed specifically to raise the K energy, and it is said that

if you have time for nothing else, practice this kriya daily. It is

found as a portion of many kriyas, and may be practiced as a stand-

alone meditation. We recommend that you start with 3 minutes, and

work your way up to 31 over time. Always relax after practicing this

potent meditation, ideally for twice as long as you practice it.

Here is the URL of a kriya which contains Sat Kriya - it is the final

asana (#9):
