Guest guest
Dear Paresh, We all seem to want to do the "right" thing, especially when it comes to something as important and crucial as spiritual growth. I've been studying and teaching KY for over 10 years, which doesn't make me an expert, since I don't consider anyone an expert, but I can share my experiences. (I believe only you can be an expert in knowing your own body and its energies.) Olympia believes that there is no better way to start KY than with meditation on the tip of one's nose. That is her experience. I have a different experience. Mine is that I can meditate anywhere, any time, with or without a mantra, in any position. We all have different experiences. Sometimes I find that I can learn something by doing meditation, even when I feel uncomfortable doing it. At other times, I learn infinitely more doing what feels most comfortable. It probably depends on what else is going on in my life. It can be simple, it can be very complex. It depends. My methods are based on the belief that only I can be the one to decide. Others are there, not to instruct me, but to share their own experiences with me. Sometimes theirs apply, sometimes not. But of one thing I feel quite certain: there is no "one fits all" solution. May I suggest that you compare and contrast as many of others' experiences as possible? I'd start by looking at as many books on KY as possible. (And I certainly wouldn't stop at KY! Although it's been my experience that it is, indeed, "the best." But you may be different. Nevertheless, there are infinitely more KY's than books on the subject, that's for sure. They barely scratch the surface. Not to mention the diversity of different approaches from different "masters." Most of whom change their minds, to boot. And if you're not changing your mind, you don't have one! You wouldn't argue with that, would you?) love ~*~ sky
