I have a friend who have frequent nightmares while sleeping.

I suggest her to meditate (a simple vipassana), and this proved to be

a help for her.

Now I am looking for a more specific meditation. On the book "Mind"

of Yogi Bhajan there is one for the Negative Mind. I think it can be

a valid one, while the nightmares arose from past real problems.

Can you help me?

I find this mailing list very valueble to my way! Thank you all!

Dear Stefano:

I would think the meditation for the negative mind from "The Mind"

would be helpful, and also the meditations for Aspect 1 (Defender)

and projection 1 "How to deal with a threat".

I did not know that the mantra from Jaap Sahib worked to neutralize

nightmares, as Gururattan mentions (she is the teacher, I am the

humble assistant), and of course that speaks directly to the issue.

Here is that mantra again:

Chattra Chakkra Vartee, Chattra Chakkra Bhugatay

Suyumbhav Subhang Sarab Daa Sarab Jugtay

Dukaalang Pranaasee Dayaalang Saroopay

Saddaa Ang Sangay Abhangang Bibhootay

You might want to get a tape of Jaap Sahib - or of this mantra alone,

as getting the pronunciation of a complex mantra like this one can be

difficult without hearing it (your local KY teacher may also be able

to help).

Many blessings,

Sadhant

The mantra to neutralize nightmares is the one Sadhant Singh sent to Ravi

Kaur about a week ago. The end of Jap Sahib. I am sure he will resend it to

the list.

Sadhant,

Do you know of a source for tapes of mantras used in Kundalina Yoga. I've

been looking through the books, "Relax and Renew," and, "Transitions to a

Heart-Centered World," by Gururattan Kaur Khalsa, but don't have a clue of

the correct pronunciation for many of the mantras that appear in those

texts. A cassette tape would be quite an aid.

Sadhant,

Thank you very much for the answer. Thanks too to Gururattan and the others.

This mailing list is a real community!

I will suggest to my friend the meditations and the suggestion you give me.

About the correct pronunciation, it is possible to use the wonderful Sikh

site, where there are a lot of mantra. The address is:

http://www.sikhnet.com/Gurbani

where you can search for. Of course, to have a tape/CD is always the better

choice.

Thank you again!

Sat Nam
