Guest guest
Sat Nam Gururattan Kaur Ji and the rest of the Sangha, I'm very happy that I've found this excellent site (thanks to the 3HO site). I took a look around and it's wonderful! My name is Gilberto Cintron and I'm a Kundalini Yoga student in Puerto Rico. I've been using your books in my daily sadhana for several years and recently I acquired (through this site) the only book I was missing, Your Life Is In Your Chackras, which is excellent also. I'm posting this message to see if you clarify to me the "Raising Kundalini in Quick Order" kriya that is explained in the Sexuality and Spirituality book, p. 28-29 (and also in Transitions to a Heart Centered World, if I remember). In my book, exercise 9 (Bow Pose) is missing some information. It says " On stomach, grab ankles and arch up, pulling arms and legs as high as possible. Inhale, stretch up even higher, pull Mulbhand, hold, " The last sentence is not completed, it ends with a coma. It is obvious that after holding the breath for some time you will need to release and inhale again but my question is, do you keep the asana for some time, say for two minutes, and repeat the lock during this period or, is it done one time only? Can you please explain to me the missing info. Also, I would like you to clarify for me exercise 7. Again, is it done one time only or is it repeated for a period of time. Thank you very much for this opportunity. I'll keep in touch. Sat Nam.
Guest guest
Sat Nam Gilberto: Welcome to the group! For #9 in that set, Bow pose, you hold the posture (arched up, without the rootlock) for a period (2-3 minutes, perhaps, or just 1 when someone is starting out). The sentence that is incomplete is the procedure to complete the posture - inhale, stretch up more, pull the locks, hold the breath and locks for a little while, and then release/exhale. For #7, you repeat the procedure for some period, again, I'd assume, 2-3 minutes, or 1 when starting out. All love surround you, Sadhant
