Guest guest
Hello all, For many years I was a very strict vegetarian and during that time my gums used to bleed a lot when I brushed my teeth. When I reintroduced flesh foods in small amounts into my diet this problem went away. Recently I went back to the vegetarian diet and the bleeding had begun again. I can't fiigure it out - has anyone any ideas on what could be causing this ? Since childhood I've had difficulty absorbing iron from non flesh sources which is why I began eating flesh foods again after my first stint at vegetarianism. It seems to be a family trait - my mother had the same absorption problem. Yet I don't think this is the cause of the bleeding gums. Last time my irons level were checked they were fine. Any ideas would be very gratefully received !!! Love and thanks, Avtar ______________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! Juno offers FREE or PREMIUM Internet access for less! Join Juno today! I suggest you try neem leaves (your local herbal store should have them, otherwise check out http://www.neeminc.com - they also have neem toothpaste). In the evening after you brush your teeth take a leaf in your mouth and move it against your gums for a few minutes. I haven't had this problem myself, but I know somebody whom this helped. Hope it helps you too! Sat Nam, Satsang Kaur
