Of course, we don't like many things as Nancy pointed out. GKK> We are not supposed to like them. Yes, dear Gururattan! We are not suppose to like them at all! Things are not what we want them to be. They are what they are. They shouldn't be different otherwise they wouldn't be what they are! LOL! I am going to explain what I mean. There is a lesson Life/Soul wants us to learn. We are different, therefore we can't compare anyone to anyone. There is no comparison between different things. Things and people are what they are. They aren't here to please us, they are to live their life the best they can. When we engage a spiritual path we learn to harmonize our fields of energy the best we can. But how to do that when I don't like them? Aha! This is the lesson: we are expect to accept things and people as they are! We can't change things or people. Unless we accept them exactly the way they are, we'll never be able to help them - if it is the case. If I don't accept someone I will fight him - in words, acts or thoughts! Then I'll dwell in the negative, as Gururattan said. When I accept - in spite of my dislike - I don't fight, the negative can go away because I am not clung to it and I have enough room to work with what is good in the situation or person. Once again, if it is the case. Sometimes the only thing I can do is to spread all the love I feel inside me. GKK> But our challenge is not to dwell in the GKK> negative, but to do our part in changing what we can. And all change starts GKK> with changing ourselves. The more we find the love in our own being, the GKK> more we will project love into the world. That's a very powerful affirmation! Love is a "thing" we project! We live in a weblike world. I remember that I read once somewhere: When I pick a flower from my garden I know that I am striking a star! GKK> We tend to think that we have to GKK> do big projects to make a difference. But if we are angry while doing them, GKK> we may do more harm than good. Anger as a basic emotion is a motivation to GKK> act, not an excuse to destroy. I think his anger killed him. Not good for GKK> him and not good for the world. He really cared, he just didn't know how to GKK> accomplish want he so sincerely wanted. You said it all with great precision. I don't have a comma to add, comment or question. GKK>There are so many lessons we all have to learn. Learning together is very GKK>helpful. Guest guest
Dear Claudia, link karma to dharma. However, it has a link! Yes, and what you said is very important. Actually everything you said was very important, but I will pick out one thing to comment on. > Things are not what we want them to be. They are what they are. Moving beyond judgment to IS reality is one of our most challenging mental and spiritual tasks. When we engage a spiritual path we learn to harmonize our fields of energy the best we can. > But how to do that when I don't like them? > Aha! Once again, if it is the case. Sometimes the only thing I can do is to spread all the love I feel inside me. This is a very important concept. If we accept things, people, our feeling and ourselves the way they and we are, we have a chance to create a change. If we do not accept them, our energy prevents change from occurring because we are fighting instead of creating. Creation happens through love and acceptance. The touchstone is acceptance. We can practice this in meditation. We accept our feelings and everything that we are experiencing in our body. The more we relax and allow what we are experiencing, the more the resistance goes away. Try it. It really works. Acceptance is one of the most powerful tools of change that exists. That is because it rides on the waves of universal love. This is a concept that has been taught for thousands of years. It is a basic principle of Buddhism. Ghandi applied it to the politilcal situation in India. We can all apply it in our everyday lives and create a silent planetary revolution. Many blessings, Gururattan Kaur
