Guest guest
I am looking for asanas/meditations ect to balance water in the system. Is a water imbalance related to 2nd chakra? I was taking diuretic Chinese herbs (I hold water) but quit because although they made immediate water leave my system they haven't really changed my water imbalance and I did not want to rely on them. At one point about 2 years ago my urethra almost completely closed itself off (painful situation!). I no longer suffer from that situation but still am retaining a lot water. Hi, Peggysue: ..... have you tried The Cobra?(bhujangasana), in the book "Learning Yoga" by Andre Van Lysebeth, it says "the pressure on the kidneys during the asana, expels the blood out, and when going back to initial position, kidneys get a flow of fresh blood, that cleans out them, helping diuresis". Hope this can help you. Bye. Carlos Thousands of Stores. Millions of Products. /
Guest guest
Dear Peggy, > I am looking for asanas/meditations ect to balance water in the system. See exercise 6 on page 41 of Relax and Renew. If anyone wants to explain this exercise feel free. Actually I think it would be good to do it with the rest of the set. > > Is a water imbalance related to 2nd chakra? Not sure about that. Try not to eat too much salt. Guest guest
Peggy, > > I am looking for asanas/meditations ect to balance water in the system. 6 years ago I had a meniere disease, which is an increase of fluid pressure in the inner ear. Because of this I had to be on diuretics for about 2 years to be able to maintain in Balance the excess of fluid inside my inner ear. Searching for natural alternatives, I started practicing Tai-Chi, reduced my intake of salt, and last year talking to a Dr. who spends part of her time on research, suggested me to take 5 mg. of Folic Acid daily. One of the properties of Folic Acid is to help to maintain in balance the fluid's level in the body, so I've been taking it for about a year, and I feel well by now, I don´t really know what exactly was that helped me, because it´s very hard to know that, I think it was a little bit of everything. About the 5 mg. dose in a single tablet, I haven´t been able to find it at regular stores, they care only for 400 and 800 mcg. tablets, which means that one should take 12 or 6 tablets daily. I get the 5 mg. dose at social security in Mexico. I don´t know in Usa where you can get this dose. > > Is a water imbalance related to 2nd chakra? Once I thought the same, but never found an answer to this. When I was practicing Tai-Chi all movements had to be controlled by the Tan-Tien point, below the navel point close to where 2nd. chakra is located. I don´t really have an intellectual answer to this, but I FEEL that when I was training Tai-chi and tried to be concentrated there, definitively helped me to have a better balance in my whole body. Now I'm going to try with KY that seems to be a powerful tool. I really hope something of this can help you, Good luck. Guest guest
Hi Carlos I too have Menierre's disease so I am very interested in your comments. I will try folic acid. I have terrible balance problems some days, although I used to have no problems before I developed this disease. Now I cannot get up from the floor in a hurry. Thanks for your advice. I also have the hip problems as mentioned previously, so it's encouraging to know that others out there are like me. I feel like such a beginner! Thanks for everybody's encouragement and advice. I am currently awaiting Gurrurattan's KY beginner book and a CD which I have just ordered - it might take a while to reach me on the other side of the world! (New Zealand) Thank you everyone - this group is a wonderful resource. Sat Nam, Keri
