Guest guest
Is anyone familiar with Buteyko breathing? It seems that this school of thought suggests we 'overbreathe'and that if we don't retain enough carbon dioxide there is not the correct ratio of gaseous exchange and in fact we thus deprive ourselves of oxygen. I have a friend who has had terrific results i.e. not using a 'puffer' for the first time in years and losing a stack of weight. My basic question is this: does this conflict with yoga breathing techniques, that is, are they essentially deep breathing techniques, thanks, any input welcome and best wishes for the festive season, Julie
