Guest guest
Sat Nam Julia: Sadhana means "daily spiritual practice". Whatever you do every day to work on yourself is sadhana. There are many different ways of doing sadhana, but many KY practitioners follow a particular practice for early morning sadhana. In short, an hour or so of yoga (often the same kriya for 40 days in a row), and an hour of chanted meditations, actually a sequence of meditations, done in a particular order, which add up to 62 minutes. Kriya (you will also see the term "set" used) means a sequence of postures (it might only be a single posture) that produces a particular effect. One of the things that sets KY apart from other forms of yoga is that it is based on using kriyas, rather than simply asanas. Just as each asana has a particular effect, when a sequence of them is done, you get an cumulative, overarching effect that is greater than that which comes from doing those same asanas in some random order. There are thousands of kriyas in KY, so it is easy to find one that works on exactly the issues you want to deal with at any given time.
