Guest guest
Sat Nam Sadhant Singh, Can you please recommend me any kriya to strengthen the 10th body (and nervous system). I've seen kriyas, in Gururattan's books, for the aura or electro-magnetic field, but have not seen anything for the radiant body. The only exercise I know for this is the archer pose. Regards, Gilberto P.S. Thank you very much for the kriya clarification on 11/17/00.
Guest guest
Sat Nam Gilberto: The archer pose is indeed an important exercise for the radiant body, and it is recommended that you work your way up to 11 minutes on each side. Another kriya for the radiant body is Varuyas Kriya - I've only seen this in "Sadhana Guidelines", so here it is: Stand up straight, and put the right foot somewhat forward. Stretch the left leg far backward, resting on the top of the foot (the right leg becomes bent, but keep the knee above the foot). The arms are extended forward, parallel with the ground, with the palms together. The spine is tilted slightly forward. The eyes are fixed on the horizon or at the brow point. Holding this position, take a deep breath and begin to chant "Sat Nam" rhythmically, emphasizing the "Sat" as you pull the navel point and apply a light mulbhand (root lock), like Sat Kriya. To finish, inhale, hold, squeeze the lock, and release. Switch sides and repeat. Begin practicing this kriya for 1 1/2 minutes on each side and work up to 7 1/2 minutes, slowly. Done correctly, it will make you sweat, and you may notice a burning sensation in the cheeks. There are also two meditation recommendations for the radiant body: The Guru Gobind Singh Shakti Mantra meditation, also in "Sadhana Guidelines": Sitting in easy pose, arms straight, hand in gyan mudra, eyes closed, focus at the brow point. Chant 2 complete cycles of the following mantra for each single breath: "Wahe Guru Wahe Guru Wahe Wahe Wahe Guru" Take a rapid deep breath and repeat, for 11-31 minutes. To complete, inhale, hold, and focus your energy at the top of your head. The other recommendation is the Sarab Shakti mantra, also called the Guru Gaitri mantra (there are many meditations that use this mantra, or you can simply chant it in any comfortable meditation position): Gobinday Mukunday Udaaray Apaaray Hareeang Kareeang Nirnaamay Akaamay May you be very radiant! Blessings, Sadhant
