Guest guest
I was wondering if anyone on this list also does martial arts, and if so which one(s) they recommend? There are nearby classes to me in Karate, Kung Fu and Wing Tsun and I am considering trying one of them out. Hope this is not considered off-topic, as I believe there is a quote from YB that we should also practice a martial art. Guest guest
Sat Nam Nick & Amanda: "Relax & Renew", pg 107: "Learn Martial Arts: It is our duty to help the weak. We must equip ourselves with the art of self-defense. Be steady, strong, and beautiful." YB, June 19, 1972 I have studied several forms of karate and a little Tai Chi and kung fu, although I am not attending any classes at the moment. I have been looking into aikido recently. I think it is good to experiment a bit to find a style that fits our personality - I have enjoyed the Tai Chi the most of the ones I have tried. Many blessings, Sadhant
Guest guest
Sat Nam, In the early years, Yogi Bhajan told us that we should each pick a martial art and perfect it along with practicing KY. Sat Nam, Gururattan Kaur
Guest guest
Dear Nick, I have taken kung fu-Hshingi which I absolutely love and recommend. I also have taken tai chi and chi gong which I also love. The most important thing is the quality of the teacher and the size of the class so you can get very personal instruction as well as the group energy. Some teachers teach you the secrets and some are more scetchy. Make sure you get instruction that emphasized the INTERNAL aspects not just the performance.
