Guest guest
Sat Nam Sat Sarbat! Gururattan's "Your life is in your chakras" provides a number of exercises for each chakra, but no specific meditation (the book "Physical Wisdom" does provide a specific meditation for each chakra). Also, Sodarshan Chakra Kriya, although not specific for the 1st chakra, is designed to open and balance all the chakras. Guest guest
>From my reading, 1st chakra is base of the spine, meditate on 1st chakra is one of the way to activate Kundalini (K) power. There are different schools of thougt in K awakening. According to the author John Selby in his book, title " Kundalini Awakening - A gentle guide to chakra activation and spiritual growth", he mentioned that some teacher emphasize on meditation on 1st chakra, some emphasize on higher chakra, this may due to different teachers had different experience and different explanation.(? my understanding from his book). However, if you think of all the 7 chakras are linked together, then you will not be confused by emphasis on which chakra. ( In Buddha saying, a moon reflects upon thousands of rivers, whilst the moon that appears in thousands of rivers is actually the reflection of a single moon - all in one and one for all ) I did not practise meditation on this chakra. I do more on "free" meditation to achieve the bliss and so forth. Key thing in meditation: relax, stillness/silence, natural, awareness, watcher, alert withut effort, concentration but relax. That is what I had read and experienced. One important point to take note, if you followed method and you had uncomfortable feeling, then I suggest you drop the method. I had read books on "qui kong" who advise people of high blood pressure not to meditate on the forehead area or sixth chakra area. I think this may due to wrong method. My understanding is meditation on certain area is to relax that area, but as how to strengthen energy on that area, may be someone can enlightened on this. Thank you. Guest guest
Strengthening the chakras ia associated with the lessons linked to each particular chakra. The sacred truths if you will. An example would be the root chakra and it lessons which are survival, religious and cultural beliefs, and your tribe. To strengthen this area we must consider our beliefs pertaining to it. We must look at the lessons to be learned from these centers. Sacred truths express the highest function of each chakra. Realizing All Is One, and that there is no seperation between ourselves and others, helps reinforce energy and help heal the tribal conflicts of the root base chakra.
