Guest guest
Sat Nam, Kundalini yoga predates all religions. It is thousands of years old. It belongs to no organized or unorganized religion or spiritual path. Yogi Bhajan is the first one to share this technology openly with the whole world. Yogi Bhajan happened to be a Sikh. Sikhism in its pure essence is about creating a direct connection with the infinite. The Sikh Gurus were holy men who knew how to do this. The Sikh Gurus were generous enough to share mantras that establish this connection with everyone. They promoted the democratization of spirituality. Yogi Bhajan incorporates these mantras in the meditations he teaches because they work. Tai Chi is a discipline that helps older people Tai Chi is for all ages. > Who was Yogiji's most influential teacher? > I dunno. Perhap's you could ask Gururattan Kaur I don't know either. I do know he pulls in his information directly from Masters that are out of body, especially Guru Ram DAs. The ancient Kundalini yoga texts were destroyed in about 1600. Yogi Bhajan is now the one in charge of bringing these back in and documenting them for posterity. > or Yogiji himself. Perhaps that person is no > longer in the land of the living, That is true. BTW, most Indian Sikhs don't practice Kundalini Yoga. They are Bhakti yogis or devotional yogis. They chant. Yogi Bhajan put all the yogas together in one package, physical, devotional, mental (Raj) and mental (gian) and pranayama There is something for everyone and a choice of techniques for us to use.
