Nina,

i think i do someting different too!

hard to remember how i do it until i am actually doing it but i think

i inhale BETWEEN the Sat and the Nam somehow... its not something

i think of conciously but it happens naturally for me....

so i think i breath in.... then exhale fully....

then on the pause say "Sat" while pulling locks

then a natural sip of air comes in ..... i exhale on "Nam" releasing the locks

now i am curious if i am doing this right...? i never really thought about

where i should be breathing.... it just seemed a natural thing

and Re: body temp..... i think my feet and hands/arms get cold but

my abdomen seems to heat up... but now i wonder if my overall body temp

drops too....

Sat Nam....

Hello, All.

Two questions regarding Sat Kriya:

1. My husband and I were practicing Sat Kriya together and noticed that we

had different "strategies" about breathing: he thought one should breathe

in on the contracting SAT! and out on the resonating naaaam while I thought

one should sip in air before contracting the SAT! and breathe out on the

resonating naaaam. So, which method is the right one? Is there a right one?

We have both been told varying things by varying sources. This question

must sound like an episode of Car Talk, heh.

2. Has anyone ever noticed a drop in body temperature during Sat Kriya? I

have, on a whim, been taking my basal body temp before and after yoga

sets... and have noticed that my body temperature drops several degrees

during this exercise. Body observations are fun, eh?

Thanks for all replies!

Sat Nam,

Nina.

This is how it is given. Do what comes naturally.

I get very hot (sweating) doing Sat Kriya. I also keep a blanket wrapped around

the lower part of my body and covering the base of my

spine, to keep it warm.
