Guest guest
Dear friends: There is not a specific correct way to breathe for Sat Kriya. This is why explanations of Sat Kriya never specify a breath. At teacher training we were told specifically not to provide a breath technique when teaching it, but only to specify the chant and the pulling of the navel point (you don't need to pull the lower locks, that comes naturally with the navel point). Each person finds the natural way to breathe for themself. I used to get very hot during Sat Kriya, but recently, particularly during a longer session (31 minutes or more), I will start to get cold, and always need extra blankets during the relaxation afterward (don't forget to relax afterward, for at least as long as your practice - preferably, twice as long). Guest guest
Dear Fran, Satsang, & friends: We were taught specifically in teacher training that there is not one correct breath for Sat Kriya, and never to teach any particular breath. Instead, we focus on coordinating the rhythm of the mantra with the pulling/releasing of the navel point and let each person find the breath rhythm that is correct for them (different people will find different rhythms).
