I think the flu has been my teacher about physical overload. I have spent months sick as a result of "doing what I'm supposed to do", following running schedules that weren't right for me. (They sure looked right, and they were supposed to work, if I just followed them correctly!) I am not sure yet how to sense when I am approaching energetic overload... how can a person sense when too much energy is moving/has moved, and s/he needs to back off a while? I don't have a good feel for this yet, which prompts this line of inquiry. Might you and anyone else please share what their personal "red flags" are, if you are aware of any, and how one responds/adapts when they find themselves at their outer limits for moving energy/removing blocks/changing via the sadhana? When I am utterly adverse to practice, that is a personal red flag, but I imagine there are probably more subtle signs that I am missing along the way before my bodymind is viscerally revolted by the thought of chanting a single mantra. After my first k-yoga class, I spent the next day in bed. It wasn't really the physical soreness that sent me there, although there was plenty. It was so much energy getting moved/released, I guess. I really hadn't expected it- I mean, who would have thought, that kundalini yoga actually ~works~? :-) A similar thing happened more recently after trying another new set- which was not all that challenging physically- I didn't have to go to bed, but lost all desire to practice for a couple of days. Is this just part of the process? Sat Nam Ardas Kaur

Guest guest
No matter what in this Pysical world whatever we do,we have to take care of our physical body first before we have strength for spirituals....at time it is real sad in this phyiscal world when spiritual practisionars once they fall sicks turns to spiritual cures without realizes that they have to make use of physical cure until they are able to have"the ommisciece"spiritual knowledges........which I had mentioned earlier to one of the correspondences about this and here again the ommi science of knowing can be in many "forms" it can be good for me but it will not be good for you......unless compassion ate through meditations are able to tell if you so happen to met a Medicine saints or Masters.,before you upgrade yourself.by understanding what kundalini powers can do...prolong your life...Yes/No,gives you good energy in what normal senses usage or spiritual useage etc,etc blah,blah....It's real rather sad here in the groups many experiences sickness and others..how do we over come this????We are suppose to over come this as spiritual person in the senses of spiritual levels while here?????Guess the Yin & Yang ...Law???? - <Garner1969 <Kundaliniyoga> Thursday, February 08, 2001 5:42 PM Sensing impending energy overload?
